Being a man, one of the most important wedding details that I wanted to get right was the evening entertainment. Don't get me wrong now, I intend on every other part of the day being spectaculary perfect... however as a bit of a live music lover with a fairly particular taste in music I wanted to make sure we had a good band for the evening do that played the kind of music that got every single person in there up and dancing.

I have been to more than a few weddings where the entertainment just didn't quite do it for me. I want to hear tunes that everyone knows, classics, that as soon as you hear get your toes tapping and itching to slide their way onto that dancefloor.

After much searching around, I came accross the perfect group of musicians, in the form of 'Big Macs Wholly Soul Band' - a 10 piece (plus complimentary sound man!) soul outfit who judging by the YouTube videos could easily get a small stadium on their feet. After exchanging a few emails with the amiable frontman Mike (or was it Mack?) we struck what seemed like a frankly brilliant deal.

Needless to say I am happy with my choice, and I can't wait to have my first dance (selected tune is a secret sorry) and straight away after these guys kick in and bring the house down (hopefully in a non-literal sense).

In other wedding related news, our Save the Date fridge magnets have arrived and are perfect, and our search for 5 bridesmaid dresses continues...
