The Horseshoe Restaurant with Rooms is the perfect location for a truly romantic, intimate and private wedding, we are available for exclusive use throughout the year and are able to accommodate up to 16 guests in our converted Victorian Schoolhouse We have eight lovely double/twin bedrooms which have been created from the beautifully restored Victorian village school house adjacent to the Restaurant, the intimate candle-lit dining room is the perfect size for a private dinner party and there is a large lounge full of comfy sofas with a wood burning stove.

Additional guests can be accommodated in a beautifully appointed private house in the village which operates on a bed and breakfast basis, day guests can also be looked after by us on a price per head basis. Guests staying locally will be collected from their bed and breakfast by our car and brought to the Horseshoe for dinner and chauffeur driven back at the end of the evening at no extra charge.

The Horseshoe Restaurant is just thirty minutes from Edinburgh International airport and yet we are just ten minutes drive from the Tweed valley with its magnificent countryside. We can arrange mini bus collection from Edinburgh for groups or chauffeur car collection from Edinburgh Waverley rail station.

We are just a stone’s throw away from Eddleston Parish Church which is packed full of history including housing one of the oldest church bells in the country dating back to 1507. Pebbles is just a 10 minute drive away, Peebles has its own registry office as well as a number of other denominational churches. The striking scenery nearby will lend itself to some amazing and truly unique photos of your big day.

Our exclusive-use rate is based on 24 hour occupancy during which time we are yours alone and the door is closed to others. Arrival can be from midday and departure is midday the following day. The rate includes: light lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, bed and breakfast, all soft drinks and staff to look after you throughout your stay.
