The Castlefield Rooms

The Castlefield Rooms offer all the convenience of a city centre location with the tranquillity and space of a country retreat.

Being only a few hundred metres from the heart of the city centre it is quite unique that we also offer up to 200 dedicated parking spaces and panoramic views over the UK’s first urban heritage park.

The versatility of the spaces is also reflected in the variety of menus available from the kitchens of Albert’s Shed, a new and prestigious restaurant development opening at ground floor level.

The Castlefield Rooms are the perfect location for a truly special wedding. With our city centre location we offer modern, design-conscience facilities within easy reach for all your guests. Combine this with a choice of gourmet menus from the kitchens of Albert’s shed, an in-house events coordinator, a competitively priced wedding package, and a spectacular setting on the bridgewater canal, the Castlefield Rooms are the ideal venue to hold your wedding.


The Merchant Suite will accommodate anything from 70 to 250 for reception drinks and from 50 to 150 for a banqueting event. It has also been specifically designed to be used alongside The Brindley Room for up to 450 people.

The Brindley Room is a modern and stylish function space, designed to cater for both the corporate and private functions alike. The capacity for this space is between 60 - 200 people for a drinks reception, and 30 - 110 for a banqueting event.
