About Me
My name is Laura Glanville I am the founder, and head stylist & makeup artist at Wishbone & Comb.
I have been a hairdresser and beautician for 18 years, and for the past 10 years I have worked exclusively with brides, specialising in bridal, creative hair-up and makeup artistry.
The Team
We are a team of 10 at Wishbone & Comb and I am very proud to have such an exceptionally talented team of makeup and hair artists that are qualified to the highest standard, working expertly together for large bookings, events and bridal parties.

Myself & the team at Wishbone & Comb are true perfectionists when it comes to making you look and feel fantastic, we take great pride in making the styles you have envisioned into your reality.
We are currently taking bookings up to 15 months in advance.
Dates in 2024 + 2025 are in high demand, therefore please enquire about your wedding date as early as possible, to ensure you have stress-free planning.
Hair up & Styling
As creative hair stylists, having an eye for detail is very important. We will take details such as your hairs thickness, your hair length, your face shape and dress, into careful consideration when helping you choose the perfect hairstyle for your special occasion.
Ensuring that the up styles we create are fastened securely so they do not slip or drop out throughout the day, and are also completely comfortable to wear. The products we use are high quality salon brands that hold the style in place well.
Wearing Hair Extensions
We have extensive experience with clip in, micro beaded hair extensions and hair pieces. If you would like us to incorporate your hair extensions into your style this should be no problem, however please do let us know if you will be wearing extensions on the day, as we may need to schedule extra time.
HAIR STYLING
Creating red carpet worthy hairstyles, that last from morning to night, is what we are proud of! We specialise in all aspects of hair-up and hair styling, whether it is a relaxed boho, classic vintage, sleek or braided hairstyle.
Wedding Day Makeup
As expert makeup artists, Laura believes that having your
makeup applied professionally is as important as hiring a
photographer for your big day. With professionally applied
makeup you will look stunning and your makeup will stay
in place throughout the whole day.
Makeup Application
The makeup application technique we use together with the hand selected high quality makeup brands, deliver outstanding long lasting makeup looks that offer full coverage, yet look natural, are lightweight and photograph beautifully. We are extremely passionate about colour theory and matching you with the right colour palette that compliments your skin tones.
False Lashes (included with all makeup applications)
We stock a full assortment of reusable lashes to choose from that will go hand in hand with your chosen makeup look, a few secret cluster lashes for length or subtle definition, a half eye for a soft natural look or full fluffy lash strip to enhance your makeup look.

What to expect
Within your bridal trial we will talk about your wedding details,
look through hair styles together, and talk though any imperfections that may be of concern and also have fun experimenting with various makeup techniques.
A hair trial allows us to work with your hair’s texture, thickness and volume to create your desired look. A trial can also be used to decipher between styles and to decide which style will be best suited for you on the day.
The little details
We will take all your wedding details into careful consideration such as the style of your dress, your colour scheme, your flowers, veil placements etc., and welcome any questions you may have about your hair, nails or skin routine leading up to your trial or big day.
Peace of mind
We record all the products and techniques used within your trial, so we are able to recreate your bridal style without a hitch, for you again on your wedding day.
BRIDAL TRIALS
We highly recommend a bridal hair & makeup trial in advance of your wedding. This will enable us to have a relaxed personalised consultation together, have fun trying out different looks and styles, all the while making you feel at ease.
